MATHEW JOHN
DIRECTOR & PRINCIPAL ASSET MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Mathew has almost 15 years of asset management experience across 3 States and 1 Territory specialising in Local and State Government portfolios.
He has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, two Masters degrees in Business and Finance and an industry recognised certification in Asset Management.
His career in Asset management began managing capital works programs which quickly transitioned into the strategy and planning space and eventually found his niche in end to end lifecycle delivery.
Often known as the 'jack of all trades', he has authored SAMPs and AMPs, provided crucial advice into State government policy and asset management practice, has led maturity assessment programs, developed business cases, written position papers on criticality, condition and risk and built continuous improvement programs that have stood the test of time.

Mathew has also held leadership and advisory positions with NSW Health, Public Transport Victoria, TAFE NSW, Mackay Regional Council and the NSW Telco Authority. It was during his time as a contractor for the NSW Telco Authority that Mathew realised the innovative work he was doing had huge market potential for organisations that couldn't get easy access to asset management skills. This is how Mode and Wall was born.

Passionate about service delivery and outcomes-based initiatives Mathew is at his 'Zen-most' when he is thinking outside the box and standing in the shoes of those who deliver services and those receiving them.

Mathew spends his spare time focusing on fitness and strength training, often using his children as fitness equipment (because they giggle), trekking and fishing the Whitsunday landscape, using public service assets and simply tackling the everyday adventures of being a dad.
